I’m Kyann Sarasan and I’m a half-demon. Together with my wolf shifter pal Dante, I run Shadow Blade Investigations--a paranormal investigations agency in Seattle WA. We battle everything from ghosts to goblins, from djinns to demons. But now, business is booming as the danger level rises, and we must rush to curb the menacing forces attempting to infiltrate the city.

My name is Kyann, and I'm half-demon. I grew up on the streets, learning how to take care of myself early on. I also learned, with the help of my best friend, how to control my darker side.

Now, together with Dante, a wolf shifter who's too hot for his own good, I own a supernatural PI firm. We investigate everything from wayward pixies to vampire stalkers.

While checking out the murder of a local member of the Witches Guild, we uncover a demonic force trying to creep into the area, one that feels oddly familiar to me.

As we race to solve the murder, I start piecing together scattered pieces of my past. Now, not only are we embroiled in a murder, but I seem to be on a collision course with the dark secrets of my birth.

Shadow Scorching
   

As Dante and I investigate the demonic force that’s threatening Seattle, a new case lands in our lap when Tilly, one of Dante’s aunts starts talking about Jet, the young, honey-tongued coyote shifter who wants to marry her. Dante's aunt is vulnerable, elderly, and rich, and doesn’t want to believe Jet’s out to fleece her.

When Dante insists we investigate, we fall into the greedy world of grifters, and to a darker scheme far more dangerous than just stealing money. Can we prevent the scammer from not only stealing Tilly’s money, but Tilly’s very life force?

As the demonic threat grows, Penn, my best friend, becomes the target of the local chapter of Brim Fire. We think they’re determined to open the portal she watches over, and when they kidnap her, we go on high alert, attempting to save her life.

As we come closer to the truth about her kidnapping, more of my newly developing demonic powers go into overdrive, and—panicked over Penn's abduction—I give them free rein.

Now, as we rush to save her, I must struggle with my desire to go all-out demon on anybody who gets in my way.

Shadow Running
   

There are some places even a demon fears to tread...

When Benny’s friend disappears, he comes to me, asking me to investigate an organization dedicated to helping the homeless. Benny suspects that something is desperately wrong.

As we dive in, we discover that the organization has changed names over the decades, and every time they surface, dozens of those they claim to help have vanished without a trace. All signs point to some nefarious paranormal activity.

Meanwhile, we agree to cleanse a haunted house, and in the process, make a discovery that turns my world upside down forever.

Shadow Stealing
   

Sometimes, things do not turn out the way we thought they would…

First, my father drops a bombshell on me, leading me to a choice that means either trusting him, or coming out as his enemy. The repercussions of making the wrong choice will change my world, so I’d better figure out if he’s telling the truth.

Meanwhile, Wendy Ryles, a selkie, asks us to find her missing husband. Our investigation leads us to what we initially think is a cult. But, as we investigate, we discover an ancient race of reptilians. They’re abducting humans. We have to find out why they’re here, and what they’re doing with the people they’ve kidnapped, before they manage to vanish out of our reach.

Shadow Reigning
   

Now that we're working with my father and brother, life feels so surreal. The vampires and my father have reached an accord, and are coexisting in the Underground. We're headed into autumn and life has been fairly routine the past few months.

But when Orik comes to work with a problem, we have to step in. His sister-in-law, Olga, who lives on Whidbey Island, has vanished. Olga's husband and children are frantic.

So we pack up--including Vaurice, who insists on helping--and head out to the island. Once there, we discover that Olga found an ancient relic--a Viking horn. Shortly after she found the horn, odd creatures appeared on the island, and they seemed focused on Olga's house.

We discover she opened a door for some of the darkest creatures from the Norse pantheon to enter our realm and they abducted her. Now, we must race against time to rescue her, before she's dragged into the darkest realms of Hel.
