Where my love of writing urban fantasy began: When I wrote Witchling, I really didn’t know what the hell I was going to write. These three sisters had taken up living in my head, and all I knew was that I had to write their stories. And once I finished the book, that’s all I wanted to write–was urban fantasy. And, at that time, Otherworld. I still had a couple of the mysteries to write but oh man, I was just aching to write the next book in the OW series.

We’re the D’Artigo Sisters: Half-human, half-Faerie, we’re savvy–and sexy–operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But our mixed-blood heritage short-circuits our talents at all the wrong times. My sister Delilah shapeshifts into a tabby cat whenever she’s stressed. Menolly’s a vampire who’s still trying to get the hang of being undead. And me? I’m Camille–a wicked-good witch. Except my magic is as unpredictable as the weather, which my enemies are about to find out the hard way…
Camille:
“At the Wayfarer Inn, a portal to Otherworld and the local hangout for humans and beasties alike, our fellow operative Jocko’s been murdered. Every clue points to Shadow Wing, the soul-munching, bad-ass leader of the Subterranean Realms. He’s made it clear that he aims to raze humankind to the ground, turning both Earth and Otherworld into his private playground. Our assignment: keep Shadow Wing and his minions from creeping into Earth via the Wayfarer. The demons figure they’re in like Flynn. After all, with only my ‘bumbling’ sisters and me standing in the way, how can they miss? But we’ve got a secret for them: faulty wiring or not, nobody kicks ass like the D’Artigo girls.”

I remember those days well! The whole community was so excited and pumped to grab the new books. I remember how electric it felt in the chats on your website!
I am so glad you have the books back home where they belong, and that there will be new stories. It feels a bit like the universe just righted itself.
I have no where to ask my question but I was wondering if we will get more books for the other wild hunt adventures with the hedge dragon and night queen series?
I’m hoping to at some point. Lyrical will appear in the new Wild Hunt series, as a secondary character. The Hedge Dragon series–I was writing that at a point where a traumatic loss happened in my life and I got the grief all tangled with the series, and I just needed to get distance from it. I hope to write more of Storm’s adventures over the next few years.
I’m excited to see the wild hunt adventures expand with new books, I’m glad that I got my answers and completely understand why it will be a while for the hedge dragon series.
I can’t wait to reread the series. Otherworld came at a time of unrelieved stress and uncertainty for me, it gave me a place for me to be good to me. I also really want to see the tweaking and tighten of the series, mentioned by Ms Galanorn. I vividly remember a scene in one of the Camille books Ms Galanorn was forced to incorporate to please her trad house people, a more over the top graphic and gratuitous sex scene then was needed. It didn’t stop me from finishing the book and hungrily waiting for the Delia book to be available. I luv the new cover on witchling, the book that introduced me to Ms Galanorn. Sorry to ramble on but I felt I needed to get it off my chest.
Can’t wait for the new novels!
Loved it. It’s great seeing everyone again.
I need the hope the girls bring.
Be well.
