We become inexorably linked with our beloved animal companions.  They leave us too soon, for a variety of reasons.  If they--and we--are lucky, they live a long life and die in their sleep where we can take care of them.  Sometimes, other causes claim their lives.  All the animals on these In Memory pages have been loved dearly by their humans, and will always be missed.  May the Rainbow Bridge and Lady Bast lead them to the place dearest in their heart.

If you have lost your pet and don't know where to turn to talk about it, you might find the following two places helpful: Petloss Grief Support Website and The Pets Forums--the best group of pet lovers on the web, where I am a volunteer staff member.

Every Sunday or Monday, depending on my schedule, I perform a small ritual to the Lady Bast, asking for blessings on all animals who need it.  Others have joined in with me, in their own homes, and anybody who wants can do so.  I light a candle, ask for help for those animals I personally know need it, and for care and kindness for all beloved pets, and pets who need homes, everywhere.  And every day I ask for a blessing from Bast to guard over not only my girls, but all the furbles who need watching over.  All who wish to join me from their homes need only to do the same, or even just light a candle, and say a prayer.

Beloved Companions of mine who have crossed
the Rainbow Bridge into the arms of Lady Bast (for the cats)
and Lady Artemis (for the dogs)

Circe, Yasmine's Priestess Cat & Familiar, as well as beloved friend.

Meerclar, as Russian Blue--her first incarnation with Yasmine before the current one where she's now a black kitty.

Tuffy, the girl who was with me the longest when I was a child.  We were together almost ten years.

Eek, or "Misty Dawn Sky" as I first named her.  But she squeaked, and so Eek became her name.

Sundance
Nancy's beloved red boy and Adrian's brother.
Say hi to Adrian on the other
side of the bridge, Sundance.

Adrian--Nancy's beloved girl.  We've always thought
Tara and Adrian as "long lost sisters" because
they looked so much alike, and because of their demeanor.
Rest peacefully over the Bridge, Adrian.

My friend Linda's 10-year old Fergie.  On October 21, 2006
Linda had to walk her to the edge of the Bridge and say goodbye.
May the Lady give Fergie love, strength
and joy in her new life.
