Coven Mission

Thank you for visiting the Cauldron of Changes web site. This site is the official page for the Cauldron of Changes Coven, located in the Seattle WA area.

NOTE: We do NOT give personal magickal advice. You will NOT be the exception. No pleas for personal advice will be answered. Not even with a form letter. You WILL find articles about the Craft as we practice it in general here, and on the journal, you will find ongoing magickal thoughts by Yasmine and Angela, but we do not answer specific questions nor are we witches-for-hire.

The Cauldron of Changes is a small coven, working a shamanic, eclectic path. The hierarchy of Priestess/coveners/acolytes is followed—it is not a democratic group. The group is run by Yasmine Galenorn and Angela Pennington, both very experienced witches. Both have been in the Craft for well over 30 years each. The coven is pagan, not Wiccan, and we do NOT work with what is known as “Christian Witchcraft” or “Christian Wicca” in any form. We are focused on revering the Gods, celebrating the Sabbats, Esbat meetings, and working shamanic, eclectic magick. Membership in the coven requires a dedication to advancing one’s personal spirituality. This is not simply a social group for pagans.

Attendance at meetings is required unless a member is ill, has impending work deadlines or a personal crisis. Group meets an average of twice a month, sometimes more. The Coven has an Inner Court and an Outer Court (the Acolytes, Initiates, and Celebrants) of members. While we take the Gods, our magick, and path seriously, we do have a lot of fun with it, and are at times terribly irreverent, so a sense of humor is absolutely necessary. We are bringing you this web site to offer information about the Craft from our perspective. There is no need to write to us if you don’t agree–just move on to the next web site.

Please note: We definitely have our own traditions, but new-to-the-Craft members WILL be taught some of the basic traditions that most covens follow, even if they are not ones we personally embrace.

Are You Considering New Members? Currently, the Cauldron of Changes Coven has closed its membership doors while organizing for the coming year. No applications will be accepted at this point until further notice.

Who Are You? As is evidenced by this listing, Yasmine Galenorn is the High Priestess for this coven. She works closely with Angela Pennington—one of her blood oath sisters and an experienced Witch and magickal user. This is NOT a fan club for Yasmine, nor will any one seeking entrance just to ‘meet’ her be allowed. There are other members in both the Inner and Outer Courts (see Membership page).
