My choices in restaurants are severely limited by my food allergies. But there are a few around here we really like. One of my favorites is Anthony’s…a seafood restaurant who is excellent about coping with my food allergies and whose food is wonderful.

So what is the best restaurant you’ve been to? One commenter (on this blog–the website blog), who is also subscribed to it, will receive an audio book of COURTING DARKNESS. Contest ends Sunday night at midnight (the 30th).

Recently discovered McAlisters deli. Great food and fantastic options for my mom and I who both have food sensitivities. Only downside is the wait time since ours is very popular.

There is this place near Baltimore, MD call G&M! They have the most wonderful melt in you mouth crab cake. They are known for their stakes but the crab cakes call my name!!

  3. Due to food allergies as well, I don’t eat out a whole lot, but when I do I love Whole Foods’s Gluten-free pizza! They make them at their pizza bar. The pizzas taste wonderful, don’t make me sick & use the freshest ingredients! Thank you Yasmine! =)

My favourite restaurant is called “Pacino’s” its Italian. And having never been to Italy, I feel as though I have been with being to this little place.
Beautiful terracotta tiles, with potted olive trees around the candle lit restaurant. With pizza and pasta to die for! Its run by an old Italian family, they make you feel special, and thank you profusely for coming and dining in their establishment! Its hard to get good service these days!

I enjoy eating at local small restaurants and my favorite here is Casey’s. The waitresses have all been there for years and are so friendly. Once you get to know them, they remember how you like your food, who you are and greet you like family. It is a family restaurant and the food is not only home made delicious but you get enough that you can take some home for another meal. There are chains here that serve delicious food, like Applebees, but to me, the home town restaurants are fun to patronize and you often find interesting and delicious dishes you don’t find elsewhere.

I love going to this chinese buffet in a nearby town every now and again. It helps that the food is fresh made there, the servers are always asking if you need more to drink or taking plates away. My family loves it just as much because they have quite a variety of chinese and american food to choose from.

Lately I’m partial to our local Silver Diner. They have gone to a organically grown menu.

While this helps the local farmers, I think the food tastes better.

  9. I went to a fondue restaurant in Wilmington, N.C., that was fantastic. Really good food, and awesome service. (Just realized that reads like a Yelp review, LOL!) I don’t have any food allergies, thankfully, but I have other health concerns so I have to be careful with what I eat. The meals there were customizable–choose your cheese, wine, meat or meat substitute, etc. It was a great experience. :)

Lambert’ Cafe in Foley, Alabama. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is family friendly fun! If you want a hot fresh roll
Just put up your hand and a server will toss you one! Be on the look out for pranks from the wait staff, my son loved the funny things they did. Also when you order one of the amazing entrees keep in mind that servers will be coming by your table with “extras”, so expect to take home a lot of food. I live in Louisiana and if we are traveling any where in the general direction of Foley, we make a side trip to Lambert’s.
