Life on the Fringe
I ran away to San Francisco this past week. I have a good friend who lives there–she was my first roommate in college. Another friend is visiting there but he can’t make it to Seattle, so—since I was burning out very quickly from all the stress of the past few months, I took off, just me and my work, and spent Monday through Friday down south.
I spent time on Fisherman’s Wharf, which was wonderful primarily because of the company I was with, and I spent an entire day at the California Academy of Science, which was both a blast in itself as well as the company I was keeping.
I worked, took dozens of pictures, and was able to breathe for awhile. I’m not going to do much blogging about what I saw (but if you go there, DO go to the CAS—it’s incredible!). And my ‘me’ time was private and for me alone. But I am going to show you a bunch of the pics I took. ~grins~
Seattle, from the air. My hotel room. Down by the Marina. Wandering along Fisherman’s Wharf. Tomorrow: The CAS.
Glad you got some Yas time!!! You deserve it hon!!! HUGS~
So glad to see you take time to recharge and have time all for yourself. You give so much to us…you more than deserve the break:)

It’s always great to take a mini vacation from everyday life. Great pics! I love science academies/museums. If I’m ever in San Francisco I’ll have to make the California Academy of Sciences a priority all-day affair. If you’re ever in Chicago, I suggest you go to the Museum of Science and Industry. It’s not as nice but it also is an all-day affair.
Wonderful shots! Do the sea lions ever get territorial with the tourists?
That I’m not sure.
They have it set up where the sea lions are pretty much out of reach of the tourists.
Looks like you had a wonderful time! A mini vacation can work wonders. Be Blessed!
Thank you–I did have a wonderful time.
