1. Will You Read My Work if I Send It To You? No. Period. No exceptions.
2. Will You Recommend Me To Your Agent? No.
3. Endorsement Requests Please Read This First: For endorsements of books, please follow this procedure: All requests for cover quotes must be submitted through my editor/publisher and they MUST be submitted snail mail. Books must be print (no e-only books) and no self-published books. Please send your request in writing to:

No phone calls or email please, and allow plenty of time for a decision. Be aware: I'm on a very tight schedule and am not agreeing to any requests at this point, until after January 2013. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. Hate Mail/Angry Mail: Don't bother. No answers will be sent and you will be entered into our 'Freak File' for future reference.
5. Charity Events/Giveaways: I have specific charities I donate to. I may consider book donations to other charities IF they are easily recognized as legitimate and enough information is given.
6. Requests for Magical and/or Writing Advice: No. I do not give personal advice other than the general advice found in my web blogs or on my website or in my books.
7. Mail may not be answered immediately so please do not write with time-sensitive questions unless it's well in advance.
Be aware: I love to hear from my readers, but my assistants review and answer most of my email. But I do read all your letters. :) If you have a question PLEASE CHECK THE FAQs first before emailing us.

Please, do not send me gifts. I really have no room to accept gifts and would so much prefer, if you really truly want to give me something, give a donation to a no-kill animal shelter or your local food bank. They can use the gift so much more than I can.
If you want an answer to your letter, please include an SASE--a stamped, self-addressed envelope (this means you address the envelope TO yourself and put a clean stamp on it so I can drop it right in the mail). No postage due mail will be accepted. And no, I don't sign books sent through the mail. I do, however, happily offer signed bookplates (see below for information). Under no circumstances can I read unpublished manuscripts--stories, books or poems, or excerpts of your work, and I can't answer personal requests for advice and help on magical matters.
